13 July 2008 - Day 1

The 2008 Honor Guard Academy has begun!!  After traveling from all over the country, cadets arrived and were immediately put to work.  Following their in-processing, the cadets went through a series of testing stations.  White Hats had a Uniform Inspection, Memory Work recitation, and an Unarmed Drill Inspection.  In addition to those stations, Blue and Red Hats were also inspected on Armed Drill.  Once testing was finished, cadets reported to their rooms to change out of uniform and unpack.  They worked hard to ensure their rooms were set up according to the standards.  After dinner in the chow hall, cadets returned to the dorms to receive their Academy Uniforms and student handbooks.  After accomplishing a few more odd and ends with their Senior Advisors, the cadets prepared for some much needed sleep.  The real work starts tomorrow!
